Question #1:

John Cena beating genuine wrestlers time after time?!!?

It annoyed me when Cena beat Bobby Lashley. Cena had the title for an age and he still won against a genuine contender. OK, Lashleys personality was non-existant at times but wasn't Rocky Mavia's until he ccompletelytransformed into the The Great One? That was because WWE pushed him in the right direction! This was also well before Lashley wanted to pursue MMA.

The crowd loved lashley he was big and powerful and reminded many people of Brock Lesnar. But then WWE had to make Cena beat him with his crappy firemans carry!

One of the reasons Angle left was because he was fed up of constantly being classed as 2nd rate to a man that couldn't do the primary function! ''Wrestle''

Cena, if it wasn't for your t-shirt sales you wouldn't be wrestling. You would be making very lame action movies!

Cena's ok but he just wears thin at times!
TJanssen - I have seen an interview with Angle about his injuries and because Vince uses and abuses but also other interviews. Fair enough he is injury prone but you mean to tell me that he would rather wrestle on a lower brand where they allow piledrivers and other devastating stuff which could potentially mess him up more. If Angle was seen as an equal to best in the WWE he would still be their. Full stop.

Question #2:

How do you feel with someone who lacks MMA/BJJ technique?

I train in Bjj and MMA. I have a friend who "occasionally" trains. He's not a natural at it and has a very hard time grasping techniques. We've been rolling for years (untrained) and for a few months (trained). He knows my go-to moves and submissions (as most training partners do).

Even though I have considerably more technique than him, he often times puts of a good fight with me(mainly defending my triangles and armbars). His defense is good, he is lacking in offense though.

I was just wondering if any of you guys feel the same way if your in this position with someone who knows you and, even though your better by alittle, they still put up a close fight?

Question #3:

mixed martial arts question?

is this is a good base for grappling in mma: wrestling(i forgot what high school and college wrestling is called) and bjj

Question #4:

How come boxing isn't as big as it was+2BQ?

Whenever my history class watches a video about a cretin period in time(within the last sixty years) it always mentions a big boxing match that happened. But, now, all I hear about is UFC, or MMA or some form of mixed martial arts, I never hear about a boxing match. So how come it is not as big now?

BQ1: Who is the current World Heavyweight Champ(not that I am going to know who it is)?

BQ2:What is the point of watching UFC or MMA? I have tried to get into it on several occasions and they are all either reruns or on PPV. Now I am a wrestling fan(think what you will) and I know it is one every week on Monday and Friday and one PPV every month so it is more organized. But I see commercials for a different match almost every week.

Question #5:

how much does weight advantage play in a wrestling match?

ok so me and my good friend are looking to get into mma. we been wrestling together for the past few months, i've learn a bunch of moves on the ground. very rarely will one of us tap, we usually go in till we get tired, or one of us throws up. most of our matches last for 10-15 minutes.

the problem is none of my take downs ever work. and he seems to be able to man handle me better than i can him. dont get me wrong i can hold my own it just feels like hes has it alot easier than me.

i weighs around 130 and he weighs around 170.
so how much does weight advantage play in a wrestling match?

Question #6:

Tips for BJJ and Muay Thai Kickboxing?

I'll give a little background first. I'm about 6-1 and 185 lbs, and i'm not ragingly ripped, but i'm pretty muscular. I've been wrestling since i was about 5 years old, and i've just started getting into MMA. I'm currently deployed and i've been going to combatives class (which is more informative than anything), and a BJJ class at night, where they pretty much let us roll around for about 5 minutes a pop. The thing is, i can pretty much handle moving most people around, it's just that i have a hard time getting to the submission no matter where i'm at! The people i go against are usually bigger people, and they don't seem to have a hard time submitting me like 2 or 3 times a round. I usually have perfect form when we're practicing the submissions, but then when it comes to the actual sparring, i try to do them, and it doesn't really work for me...any tips? BTW this does not mean i've hit a plateau in my training, i know i need to get better so i'm going to keep working and training.

Question #7:

What's a good diet for getting in fighting shape for MMA?

I've been getting into some MMA, but I'm a little bit too chubby for me to feel confident into getting into the cage or anything. I'm about 6 foot 3, weigh about 225 and want to get down to 185 cut and muscularly strong. Any help please? Thanks!

Question #8:

How do you touch your boyfriend without hurting him?

My boyfriend is a kickboxer and does a bunch of MMA and physically stressful stuff like that, and after his fights, I never know how to touch him.

Yesterday, he came over to my apartment, and he looked soo swollen, and he never says anything to me, but just the way he looks after these fights is so shocking. I always try to be as gentle as I can with him. But I get so scared that I'm going to do something wrong. I never say anything to him just cause he never complains, but I get really scared of touching him the wrong way.

So, for all you boxers/athletic guys, how do you like your girls touching you after you've been through physical stress like that?

I have many favorites (joe stevenson, nate marquardt, junior do santos, cain velasquez, and more)

but i gotta say my favorite is Fedor, he's such a unique fighter, is one of the few sambo title-holders and he never trash-talks, if you're curious look him up on wikipedia and watch some of his fights on yourtube

Question #11:

I Seriously Need Help, what to do about this loneliness?

I asked this once but didn't get any good responses, so please help me.

I don't know why, but i'm out of the loop on everything. Nobody I know will tell me whats going on. It's the kind of thing where I ask if something is going on on a Friday or Saturday night and everyone says nothing is going on, then the next day facebook is covered in pictures for parties from the last night.

And I don't really have anyway to meet new people cause I go to a crap community college where there is no student involvements. My life is just Wake up -> Class -> Work -> Study -> Sleep

I never hang out with anyone, I never party, I have never even had a girlfriend, and I don't' know why, I try to be nice and friendly, invite people to come do things with me, but they always back out or say they are busy, I'm always alone, always.

I literally have NO one I can call or text to find something to do. It's starting to really hurt.
------------------------------------

AND to help solve a few question, I try to meet new people, I sit in my college's commons area and try to talk to new people, I have picked up a new sport (MMA) to try to meet new people + to make up for something I'm not proud of, And the only poster said I should call someone I know would want to do something... I don't have anyone I could call, i stated that.

Question #15:

Who has the best brazilian jiu jitsu in mma? Maia?

Question #16:

Are any traditional martial artists grateful to MMA for reviving the spirit of martial arts?

Not that more traditional arts were dead before MMA, but I am curious as to your opinion on the subject matter, at least in number of practitioners. I know this definitely sounds like a loaded question, but I asure you that I did not mean for it to. I teach traditional shotokan karate at our local YMCA, and by no means consider myself to be a expert on any topic that is martial arts related just knowlegable. I just love it. I will add that I a have never studied Mixed Martial Arts so don't have experience with it. I don't watch UFC either.

Question #17:

Mayweathers Chances in the mma?

Does Mayweather have any chance to fight in the MMA or no chance. What are your thoughts on this.

Question #18:

Is anyone sick of hearing rubbish of this is better than that in martial arts.?

I'm really sick of the automatic assumption that jiu jitsu and mma are the best and taekwondo "sucks" i'm not saying everybody thinks that but too many people are prejudiced over certain arts ,taekwondo as an example i even am a bit prejudiced of it because there is a real dodgy school in the area. I heard earlier in a discussion the most perfect quote " i've seen just about every martial art beaten by every other martial art. I've sparred with jiu jitsu fighters and i was never left "completley helpless" i knew some joint locks and chokes from my training and i never had to tap out because 9 times out of 10 i held them off i was only a purple belt and i did fine. i didn't smash them but i held my own and landed a few good hits and avoided going to the ground 99 percent of the time and when i was one the ground it wasn't all over. so what logic is the assumption made on. no offence to jiu jitsu it is usually mma fanboys making the assumption.
