Question: i want to learn mixed martial arts but i got some 'minor set backs'?

Answer #1:

Sorry, but I don't think any successful MMA fighters started off by going to an 'MMA gym". Almost every good fighter has had many years of specializing in ONE art before branching out to master others. The top ones always have black belts in one or more arts.

The only ones who came in as street brawlers and took a few MMA classes before fighting are people like Kimbo Slice, who aren't doing well.

Answer #2:

1.) 14 is middle aged to late aged. If you do join an MMA then use that to counter balance in school. The more you like school the more you will like mma. Why? Because school will go by fast and you dont have to go "omg when is school over, i wanna spar".
2.) In most MMA's you do not go everysingle day, you muscles need a rest.
3.) Look through a phonebook for an mma, martial arts ju-jitsu place, all others like tae-kwon-do are pussy shit. dont do the,
4.) i would say 85% isnt that hard bro.
5.) MMA doesnt teach you street fighting. If you wanna join street fighting, then take up boxing. in a fight your not going to get someone down on the ground and do an anaconda hold on them. Maybe a wrist lock but thats it.

Answer #3:

sinosic perosh marti arts in concord does MMA but you do need to do a ground and standup martial arts b4 joining the MMA class.

Answer #5:

hi, I'm also 14 years old, I live in Canada, nd I also want to learn mma, its not as difficult as you would think, don't look for mixed martial arts gyms, just look for places that teach martial arts, and then learn more martial arts as you go, like me, for example, currently, I only do Tae Kwon Do, and thats just my starting point, I'm going to join my high school wrestling team to learn wrestling, and I'm also going to join a boxing a gym pretty soon. What I'm saying is don't go after mixed martial arts gyms, those don't work, trust, ask any accomplished MMA fighter, like UFC fighters for example, none of them joined mma gyms, they just learned different martial arts
