The last person you should ask about diet is someone who is a sports "expert", or anyone who sells food products or works at a health food store.Your family doctor can give you some information on healthy eating, and so can your local health board office (food guide charts) or a dietician.
A balanced diet that includes the recommended intake of daily grains, meat, fruit and vegetables is perfect. Avoid the "sports" diets that are artificially high in protein.
Listen to coaches and athletes for sport advice. And ignore me as well... seek out information from dietitians and physicians for nutritional advice.
